A 13th-century residence in the heart of Kairouan
Palais Harran is a lovingly restored 13th-century aristocratic residence in the heart of the Medina of Kairouan — the oldest Arab-Muslim city in North Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Once the home of a prominent Kairouani family, Palais Harran arranges its seven chambers around a quiet interior courtyard. Each preserves the carved wooden ceilings, stained glass and tilework of the master craftsmen whose forebears raised the palace eight centuries ago. To stay here is to live, however briefly, inside the living heritage of the medina.
We offer a personal, warm welcome in keeping with the authenticity of the place: a generous Tunisian breakfast, traditional Kairouani cuisine, guidance on the monuments and hidden corners of the medina, and transfers on request. Our aim is simple — that every guest feels received as a guest of the house.
