La Chambre de Behja
A story spanning centuries
Timeless and radiant, the Chamber of Behja radiates the joyful nobility of its name — 'delight.' This 13th-century chamber has stood since the palace's founding, its carved wooden bed crowned in gold arabesques and enveloped by emerald curtains. A jewel-box of textures, colors, and cultural memory, the room harmonizes velvet seating, tiled flooring, and intricate wall art in a palette both festive and regal. Every detail, from the hand-carved ceiling beams to the luminous green fabrics, honors centuries of tradition while offering modern tranquility. A true sanctuary of vibrant heritage.
Built in the 13th century, Behja is one of Palais Harran's two original chambers — its golden bed canopy a celebration of joy and artisan mastery.
